The Summit is the signature event of the Wireless Networking and Communications Group at the University of Texas at Austin. First conceived in 2003 as the "Wireless Networking Symposium," then later known as the "Texas Wireless Summit," the event has continued to grow and evolve over the years to cover the latest in cutting-edge research and technology.

In spring 2022, WNCG and 6G@UT announced the new 6G@UT Forum. For more information on the Forum, please see the event page here.
